I understand the occasional mistake, but when that same mistake is being made on an hourly basis for five fucking days, the only thing to understand is that something sinister is going on.

Well, the original Tomahawk was a weapon, and the Apache, Comanche, and Black Hawks were all warriors, so those aren't exactly negative comparisons. But attaching Geronimo's name to a terrorist is a little different.

I would think the Apache people would be more offended by Ace Diamond claiming to be one of them than they would having a helicopter named after them.

Geronimo and his capture is a very, very big deal to those in the Army, and those that have trained at a particular base in Oklahoma called Ft. Sill.

I have a buddy who did his training over there, and the instructers kinda obsess over it.

My uncles farm was on a Black Hawk hunting ground. Every time he would plow a field we would find arrow heads. We would also find grinding stones so they must have made camp in that area. The grinding stones are big and heavy so they just must have left them and then used them when they came back again. Some of the grinding stones are really worn down from use and I can't imagine hauling those around.

I have a big wardrobe someone in our family made in the 1870's. It's got some metal work decoration around the lock keyhole done by a Black Hawk indian. They used to do decorative metal work to trade in those days. Who ever worked that metal did an excellent job. A lot of detail in it.

I live in what they call a "holler" down here. A small valley. At the mouth of the valley, there is a small pond, that is fed by freshwater springs year around. It is the backyard of a house. My neighbor who lives in the house next door to the one with the freshwater springs has found arrowheads while doing landscaping work around his house. They are pretty fucking amazing in their craftsmanship. Made out of granite or something like that....very small, but very heavy. Lotta mass. I can see how this area I live in would have been a perfect place for Native Americans to live.

By the way, I saw that Homeland Security photo on a bumpersticker just a couple of days ago.

After all that's been said about rather or not UBL's "Death Mugshot" should be made public, who deserves credit for finally getting the prick, what to do with his body, the Pakistan issue, the Iraq distraction, those who wanted Gitmo closed and the dissapointment shown towards Obama when he decided to keep it open, I have something to say....and this isn't some copy/paste op-ed, it's coming directly from me.


It was Obama, not Bush, that made capturing or killing UBL priority #1 in the GWOT, and he took on hell of a gamble, and finally, after nearly 10 years, proved what many of us knew already-that he had been in Pakistan since at least 2005. The scumbag Pakis, who have recieved God knows how much MONEY from the US to "assist" in the "War On Terror", never really participated in any effort to find him or prevent him from taking up residence in their own country. If anything, the possibility that those funds could have been used to build the very compound UBL was chilling in is fucking outrageous! Now The Pakis have the nerve to be upset over the fact that we went in and took him out like we said we would? That the US violated their sovereignty?

TO ME, that is a slap in the face to every service member that has lost their life, limb and sacrificed things that can't be measured or replaced, like having been deployed away from their families numerous times over the past 10 years in the effort to seek justice for not only 9/11, but the USS Cole, London and Madrid bombings, just to name a few. We didn't violate any sovereignty-it ceased to exist. Call it a forclosure, Pakistan.

I'm not an advocate of torture,(unless I can waterboard BBB ) but when President Obama made the decision to keep Guantanimo Bay open after campaigning against it, it was obviously based on an informed decision. A decision that obviously harvested results.

UBL didn't need a trial, nor did he deserve one. Judging by his actions, he wasn't looking for one, either. How many acts of terrorism does one need to claim responsibility for before people decide he's guilty? Enough innocent people have died already. Why prolong the closure with a garbage trial? C'mon....


I, personally, am not interested in seeing UBL's death photos. If 40 SEAL's confirm him KIA, I'll take their word for it. They've trained for this mission since August last year, running through a mock-up of the building they were to infiltrate, got it down to a science and finished the job, while Obama, Biden, and Hillary were watching on a big screen...the looks on their faces say it all. Hillary looked like she nearly threw up in her mouth a little. I assume the SEAL team was geared up with night vision minicams or something...so they ALL had a visual. Sawweeet!

The amount of intel gathered from the compound could very well be a catastrophic blow to Al-Qaida. Using a SEAL team like a scalpel to infiltrate was a brilliant idea over just bombing the shit out of it, as was the case with Zarqawi. However, if UBL wasn't home at the time, imagine the shitstorm Obama would have been in! What a ballsy move! Where were GWB's balls? Stashed away in the change purse of some big oil company licking their lips at the prospect of obtaining long-term oil contracts with the newly liberated Iraq I'll bet. It's obvious that it was his main priority-not UBL. No wonder he declined the invitation to visit NYC with Obama yesterday. His concience is bothering him.

And about that intel...it will be interesting to see how things shake out in the next few months...what iy will mean for our troops in Afghanistan, how "friendly" Pakistan really is, and so on....


Fuck Pakistan. They owe us money IMO.
