Where the Republicans blew it, is they didn't go after the hispanic vote. Hispanics for the most part are conservative family people. The Republicans should have focused on fixing the immigrant work visa issue which currently is a mess and needs to be fixed. The Republicans are cocky and just ran their old game. I thought Romney having relatives in Mexico would have taken that angle. He made the mistake of just towing the Republican line. Romney didn't lose the election, the Republican Party lost it. Even Ann Coulter admitted that yesterday believe it or not.
Obama wins re-election

You've got it wrong, girly. Romney said he wasn't concerned with the 47% of the people who would vote for Obama no matter what, meaning he knew it was pointless in trying to convince them of his viewpoint and get them to vote for him. Instead, he said, he would concentrate on the 5 - 10% Independents in the middle.Comment

The days of the United States being a world super power are ending. It's broke. Never in history does a country get itself in this much financial trouble and pull out of it. In fact, we have a financial war going on. We don't want to pay anybody anything so that's why Ben Bernanke is purposefully inflating the US Dollar. I think the owners of the Fed think they can inflate the dollar, ruin everyone financially, get out of paying their foreign debt, and then use brute force through their political connections to TAKE the real assets in this country. Watch for thuggish maneuvers in the federal government and in the UN to take resources over. Meanwhile China dumps US bonds because they know the Federal Reserve has no intention on paying them back.
World War III very well could be a financial war and it's already going. Oh well, China is just going to wait it out and let us self destruct. With the Republicans out of power I don't think they have to worry about getting pulled into a hot war because we attacked Iran. The only question is what Obama does in Syria. The Russians are starting to rattle their sabers over that. No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

What I saw the last time I was in Singapore is the US is becoming less and less of a factor on the international stage. Sure it's a big customer and a source of technological development. It's important but not as important as it used to be. The rest of the world is moving on while the US and Europe thrash around in their financial problems. Why this is the case is the North American Banks and European banks are intertwined and use post World War II entities like the World Bank, and International Monetary Fund to influence and control the rest of the world. The IMF and WB were originally set up to bring the rest of the world up to a higher stander but corrupt people got into the leadership and just used them to steal resources in the third world. They have a pretty awful track record. I knew they were just about done when the new head of the IMF had to go to Brazil to beg for money. They used to screw Brazil over but Brazil is now in bed with China and the game has changed.
If you get out of Europe or North America there is a whole other economy going on because the American/Anglo bankers are becoming less and less of a factor. The rest of the world is kicking them out. Unfortunately they still have a lot of power here.
Obama won. What does that really mean? Not much. More debt and nothing that will really turn things around. But then the Republican wouldn't accomplish much either. It just means the people left who still pay taxes will pay more taxes and health insurance will get more expensive and you will be forced to buy it unless of course, you are politically connected and have an out. Show the administration you are loyal and they will waive the health insurance requirements for you. Chicago politics at it's best.Last edited by Nitro Express; 11-08-2012, 12:04 PM.No! Looks like my conservative guess of 80% of blacks voting for Obama was off. It is being reported that 93% voted for Obama. I am pretty sure the majority were well informed.who are the racists?
Don't anyone dare question that!
Doc, I know Libertarian is the answer. I just don't get why they can't be taken more seriously. Why they can't seem to get in the ring. Participate in the debates. Become a serious opponent...Comment

Conservatism is dead. There will never be another President elected with those ideals ever again. The country has moved to far to the left with social issue's and women's birth control being the main fight. Over half of the country doesn't care about the economy and could care less even more about being fiscally responsible and having a government that can actually balance it's checkbook. Doesn't matter who the Republicans sets up as their candidate, they will lose to the party/democrats that will push big government and huge special interest spending.Comment

Nixon was a bit of a cunt when it came to 'Nam, he actually widened the war temporarily after invading Cambodia even though he knew, and was being told, that they U.S. servicemen dying there were doing so in vain and South Vietnam was a basket case gov't unable to hold. Nixon did pull us out, after a belated and rather cynically carried out policy of "Vietnamization." His Admin also supported the overthrow the Cambodian emperor in favor of a Cambodian military dictatorship favoring war with North Vietnam, something that indirectly led to the rise of the Khmer Rouge as the Cambodian Army could no longer fight them and the powerful NVA at the same time. He did end the draft and frequently gets credit for "going to China." Nixon also created the Privacy Act of 1973 and ran the economy fairly smartly. Unfortunately he was beset with paranoia which ultimately caused him to be a bit of a bastard...Comment

6) ...Carter nor his legacy survived them when they came calling. Should be interesting to see what President Ego can do or implement to stop the same fate from happening to him. I don't think that either side of the table is going to yield to the other to stop what's gonna happen from happening.
Although, I really don't think presidents have much to do with the economy directly, but it was clearly mismanaged under Bush early and often, starting with the corporate scandals and the seeming castration of the SEC staffed by seeming Keystone incompetents...Comment

Boy his cabinet is crooked as all get out but then so was Bush's. I compared Obama to Roosevelt in regard to winning a second term in a poor economy. But you are right, he is no FDR by any means. To be honest, Clinton at least was more competent. I think Obama is in over his head much like Bush was. I would say Obama is more like Bush than Clinton.
If we had an FDR in office we would be building stuff. When was the last time we built a big bridge in this country? We have roads and bridges falling apart and people need jobs and we are giving trillions to bankers and spending billions on elections. Look at the money wasted on an election that changed nothing.
FDR created a lot of shovel ready jobs and we still enjoy the benefits of those projects. Obama could have started a federal road and bridge overhaul program and put a lot of people to work. He's spent $5 Trillion. On what?Comment

I appreciate your response, but I do have to disagree when you said "cause his politics are in their interest." They may think that, but they're really not. Relying on the government is in nobody's interest and neither is a high unemployment rate nor a vastly increasing national debt.
Maybe they voted for Obama because Romney's a POS.Originally posted by conmee

Seriously though, who could blame a Black person for voting against someone who literally believes they are an inferior race, cursed by Elohim, because their ancestors were angels who were too lazy to fight ME?
That wouldn't exactly inspire me to vote for him.Eternally Under the Authority of Satan
