I'd forgotten about the box set. That does sound like a real possibility. Sounds okay if they put the 2000 sessions on there. But a new album with CVH as a stand alone entity would be better. As far as videos go, in Australia over the last couple of years I've seen videos from bands like Velvet Revolver and The Darkness played many times on free to air TV. The kids particularly love them. And VH have lost a lot of relevance with those in the younger generation who like classic rock. I remember at the VR show here last year I saw hundreds of Motley Crue, Led Zep, Kiss, and GNR t-shirts worn by 18-25 year olds, but not ONE VH on anyone. Sad.

Well I made a call to the studio tonite and got to talk with the man behind the guitar and the great music we all love.
Here some of thing's that was asked about this..

First Ed has been talking to Dave a few weeks back all through he didnt say what was said nor did I ask but I did ask the question if he was back in the band he stated to me if things move forward like it has we will see something coming, he also said the RockNRoll fame will open the door to alot of things to come if some people don't get in the way.(laughs)

I asked will Mike be part of this "he said the door is opening to him if he wants to come in I think he would he said, also his son will be part of this will have to see in the next few months but there's nothing in the works untill the first of the year I have a few other things to do right now..
than ask me where does these rumors come from? I said the net dude where else..(More laughs)

Well that all I got from him he didnt say to much but again didnt say it wasnt happen he seem alittle busy etc than ask why you call on shit ...
I told him cause I wanted to hear it from him if its true or not..

I'm still cautiously optimistic at best. Like Conmee just said, we went through this several times before. Fuck, I remember my Senior year of high school, when Ray Luzier gave us all a little report (old schoolers will remember that), and that seemed liked all the evidence we needed. Here I am, having graduated college, and guess what, the rumor is back.

Now, I wont lose hope, but I'm not selling out to this until the first concert. After that, I will go uncontrolably nuts. :D

Halen High,the sad thing about the kids in that age group is none of them would know CVH.If you asked said what does the name van halen mean they would probably know the songs 'dreams' or why cant this be love' and as much as it makes me want to vomit none of the kids would know the first 6 albums and thats plain sad.You can blame ed for that.
Back in 82 you would probably see the masses of kids walking around in a diver down tshirt, and lets face it CVH would shatter all the rock bands around today be it velvet reolver or motley crue.The kids of today need a real education in CVH, thats why i hope this reunion happens!.
