"There's a little Van Halen in everybody." - David Lee Roth.

And since these stubborn fucks decided to drag this drama out over 23 years, that now applies to our kids.

Honestly, the Van Halens (and Dave to an extent) should kiss our asses for shelling out big bucks for the show, and our willingness to pass on our CVH love to our kids. Because frankly, we could be total tightasses and use the Van Halen dysfunction to teach our kids about selfishness and petty jealousies.

If they're serious about staying together, touring, releasing new music etc..., and they want the longevity of the Stones, then they'd better be looking to a younger crowd right now and thanking God that they're around.

If he sees a tit or smells some weed, well, I'm sure he'll manage to live through it. Haven't we all?
Nope, I do not think a child has ever bothered me .

It's thier parents overbearing... my child is the ends of the earth attitude.... that bothers me ..the kind of Parent who thinks thier kid has rights over all common sense.

My child has the right to sit front row and if you don't like it you are wrong.

So sit down shut up and do not do anything that would be contrary to MY CHILDS WISHES!!!!

That is what pisses me off .

Parents who use thier child as a WEAPON!!!!

People who put CHILDREN on the FRONT line of thier own personal VENDETTA... offensive.... behavior!!!!!

You, however seem nothing like this. No sarcasm. Some around here
seen like they have thier head on straight others I don't know.

There are some however I feel fit this profile of AssMunch......... I see it everyday.

Look at yourrself. Your pushing 40 and bragging about blazing up at a concert like some over-excited tween. Just because you want to live in your retarded adolescent paradise doesn't mean everybody else does.

The rest of us got over that in our mid-20s to early 30's.

Take your weed and hide it in your uniform locker at McDonalds, stoner.

And 25 years from now keep your quivering hands out of my pocket when you're on the take from the government.
Just another loser that has to drag his snotty nosed kid to the concert because he has no friends to go with.

This is one of the guys that got beat up wearing the bee-gee's shirt in 1979.

You're probably one of those goof balls most parents worry about, you are a "friend" with your kid, not a parent. Yeah, naked women, swearing, drugs, THIS is the place for your 11 year old! Fuck off....

Okay Reverend Divine...How is my kid at that concert a threat to you?

You do your thing,I do mine.....How much more simple can that be?

Or do you just have a chip on your shoulder cause you dont measure up to the other boys and girls around here?

Just a guess on my part,But for the life of me I cant understand why any of you "Johnny come lately" Douchebags could be offended by a parent bringing their kid or kids to the show.

And again I reiterate...Parents that are open minded and obedient to what is happening around them and their kids.

I was sneaking out to concerts when I was I believe 13 .

If a parent is a good parent and they can conduct themselves correctly and they controll thier children as such .They deserve the medal of honor.

i remeber this one gal who used to bring her kid by this bar I drank at and drop the kid off for a hour to be watched by her friend the bartender .

This was a Drunk, Assed, Busted Nose, Bar , even with my love for the women and thier rights I found this behavior of the worst kind.

Some toddler belly up to the bar sukiin down cokes laced with leftover whiskey and lipstick from the night before.

Maybe it could be a lesson well learned of being social, but I find little kids need not be opened up to certain things before they have too.

If a cop lit up a doobie next to me, I wouldn't care.If he was in uniform I would but off duty.I would expect the same respect from him.

If you smoked when you used too and you get down on someone now you are a dikk.

                              I smoked 5000 pds of that sh!t when I was a kid.Who Fukking Cares??

Edit :I still feel 13 is about it for this kind of atmosphere some parents are better than others a teaching thier kids It's neglgence I cannot deal with.
Thome, you have some excellent points that I will not argue with, but my point wasn't so much about smoking up around kids. I wouldn't dare put my kid in that situation. What I am saying is that if I want to enjoy a show I've waited a long fucking time for without a contact buzz, then I fucking deserve to do so. Yeah, I used to do it, but if I ever did it near someone who was offended by an illegal substance and said person had my ass arrested for it, then my butt deserved it. It's called respect.

Personally, I'm in nearly complete agreement with you. I think parents should do all they can to help their children hang on to that precious innocence that will be gone way too soon. Tiki and I take special care to shield our kid from a lot of shit kids should not be exposed to. Too many parents don't do that these days. I know I made the right decision not to buy her a ticket, but I can't help but think about how cool it would be to share this with her.

Edit: For the record, I'm not leaving my kid at Nana's house cuz somebody might get pissed if I bring her to the show. I just don't think she's ready to handle the noise or the atmosphere. I'm still cool with those parents who are gonna share this incredible experience with their kids. Prepare them and have fun!
