I get the impression every band around have all been booked to play Australia because the promoters were trying to take advantage of the exchange rate with the Aussie dollar very strong at the moment.

The market just became over saturated and they ran out of bands and with too many choices sales weren't good.

It's not that big a country in population terms it's smaller than Texas.

The thing is, the promoters were willing to advertise and go forward with that line up MONTHS ago, but suddenly because Limp Bisquick couldn't make the bill (the same bill they were never even mentioned on), the show goes down the tubes?

Is that really the 2nd headliner? And if so, what the fuck could they possibly have going on?? it does seem odd to pull the plug due to one band. I feel like there's more to this than we're being told, and I reeeeally hope VH isn't at the root of it.

Who the fuck cancels a festival coz of 1 band pulling out? Happens every year at Download and the Gig goes on regardless. Like the promoters Tweets something here sounds really dodgy. Hope the aussie authorities have this guys passport otherwise he might be leaving on a jet plane with a big fuck off bag of cash!!!
