Now, somebody explain to me how a few months ago, this lineup was perfectly kosher enough to start advertising and selling tickets to, yet all of a sudden...it ain't.

Bail !!! it is as far as I am concerned a bust, who makes world wide statements then goes back on ther're, word ( shit happens i know but this is just 3rd grade bullshit) and who in thier right mind thinks this is a respectable business situation to be trusted.

If you go to Australia now there will be a bad karma let down during the whole trip everything will be laced with a slight amount of dissapointment. So any little thing can escalate to ....arguments.

I have been thru this and let me tell you by the end of, -we can still have a good time- I thought I never wanted to see or talk to, my lady at the time...and we had 7 days left when all the why are we here shit started, on a 14 day trip.

I would demand my money back in full due to circumstances beyond your control and spend the money for a luxury weekend somewhere else with, Lady Petes Brother.

I would sit tight for a day or so, but beware.. they are more than likely just earning as much interest off of the presale deposits, before refunds must take place.

I am also coming from the been let down quite a few times get out'a my yard grumpy stuff.

For the moment, I'd recommend just chilling for a bit as this situation becomes a bit clearer. Supposedly Alice Cooper has committed to playing anyway, and the promoter is babbling about smaller events taking place. Until this mess is resolved and you actually have some alternatives, it would be better to wait a few days (Yes, I'm aware time is fairly short for you to pull a trigger on a decision) rather than deciding in haste.

I remember sitting in 2002 working out the alternate dates thing on the Roth/Hagar tour and booking a flight to Tampa because that would be a Roth headlining show only for him to go on first to a half empty arena.

That was bad enough but now Pete is stuck with expensive tickets to an ex penal colony with no gig at all.

The promoter still hadn't booked the 2nd and 3rd headliners and this thing is just weeks away. For once it may well not be Van Halen's fault.

That promoters insurance must be pretty fucking good. You would think to make some $$$$ rather than NO $$$$ makes sense.
