David Lee Roth has a sense of humor.
    So do I.
To the mighty Van Halen, good luck on tour and see you soon!

Oh by the way, Van Halen is trending on Twitter, both in the U.S. and Canada....

More Tour News (songs on setlist, Kool & The Gang) from High Profile Media

I got an email around midnight from High Profile Media. Much of it is what we already know -- album coming out 2/7, tour starting 2/18, etc.

Here is an idea of what will be on the setlist:

Fans can expect Van Halen to perform selections from A Different Kind Of Truth alongside songs from their arsenal of epic hits that include: "Eruption," "Running with the Devil," "Jamie's Cryin'," "You Really Got Me," "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love,” "Everybody Wants Some," "Unchained," "And The Cradle Will Rock,” "Beautiful Girls,” "Mean Street," "Somebody Get Me A Doctor,” "Jump," “Panama," "Hot For Teacher," "I'll Wait," and more from their classic albums Van Halen, Van Halen II, Women and Children First, Fair Warning, Diver Down and 1984.
              and...

Kool & The Gang will join Van Halen for select tour dates.
I had no idea where to post this, so I hope it's OK to start a new thread.

                Not really.

The image they released is "part of" the new album cover.

It may turn out to be quite different.

Very interesting piece in Mojo magazine, just out. Obviously went to press before this week ...

2012 In Brief: Van for Hire?

Eddie Van Halen and David Lee Roth have put their madness / differences aside and finished an album - but will we ever hear it? Sony thought they'd signed the group (they invited Mojo to a playback of the album) only for Interscope to step in. This rock soap will run and run.

A buddy in NYC sent me a photo of a VH sticker he spotted on a lit

I was listening to my local Aussie radio station this morning, 104.7 TripleM. For several minutes, they talked about how great it was to have Dave and Eddie back together, and excitedly discussed the new album. They then announced the new single, Tattoo, and to my surprise they played the 30 second sample!I've never heard them do that before with a new song. If you liked the way it sounded on the internet, I can tell you that it sounded fucking awesome cranked up on the car stereo!!!
