Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

How about a Downtown Sessions teaser?

I think puttin' out the clip of You and Your Blues from the Downtown Sessions bonus DVD would give us die-hards another new cut to chub on, and could give the Deluxe Edition a nice push before Feb. 7. A twofer! The Stones have put out 4 or 5 track samplers before releases for awhile. Anybody got any thoughts/wishes along these lines?
No light at the end of the tunnel, due to budget constraints...

Got to thinking... sorry... But I wonder how many or if any of the "Hands Fell Off the Clock" tunes Dave recorded with Van Halen back in 2000 made it on this record?

I was thinking the same thing. Always remembered and dug that quote.

                  Music Business 101

One of the FIRST things this Mngt team should have done is get VH listed correctly on all the music sites. I keep seeing old pictures incorrect information etc. This is the biggest one. I still cant watch Tattoo on youtube via my blu ray internet connection its not listed. Also the single does not seem to being worked by promo teams if this is the case the single will drop off the charts soon.
It just seems with all the time they had to plan this album and execute it.There have been alot of miscues.

I don't think Van Halen has any control over that. Unless I'm not understanding you correctly.

On that Blu-Ray issue... did you align the muffler bearings to the correct factory pre-set frequency and top off the wiper oil?

Don't get your point on the promo teams... Hell the Roth Army is on this deal like stink on shit!! Don't get any better than that...

Seriously... I was surfing FoxSports.com and FoxNews.com earlier and noticed advertisements for A Different Kind of Truth pre-order. First thought was wow... really advertising this. Then I noticed it was Google's AdSense which had picked up my internet activity and tailored a VH advertisement for iTunes. Still... in a very short time this single, album and tour are all over the place. Plus Tattoo debuted on the BillBoard rock charts at #16... not too shabby...

                            The Vault videos

Although I am beyond incredibly and insanely excited for the new album, Van Halen still have to do 2 things for me until I will be well and truly satisfied :P.

A World Tour (to Australia as well) and to start releasing all the classic shows they said they recorded but were never released. As a 16 year old living in a time where Lady Gaga, generic rock and autotuned pop are played on the radio, I'd very much at least get to experience just a minute portion of what I missed out on due to being born a decade after, the mighty Van Halen of the 70s and 80s! A tour and new album are already more than enough though, but this would just top it off on a whole different level!!! :D

1981 and 1984 to be exact! The technology to restore and touch up the footage is available now and I'm sure the fans would go nuts for unreleased footage! Just think Van Halen were (and still are) one of the best live bands of all time and yet there is still no dvd released with Roth at the helm, only Hagar dvds. Even a massive boxset consisting just of the 70s stuff would be awesome!!!!!

Can you just imagine the supreme epicness of watching a pristine quality, surround sound blu ray of one of the Roth eras? There are countless occassions that have been recorded where one of the band members have confirmed a show being filmed for home release. For example the 1980 tour was filmed and was said to rival The Who's "Kids are alright" but was unfortunately never released.

So Eddie are you ever going to reach into that vault of yours and release some classic gems? Seems it's already been opened to remake songs, it's only a matter of time before the videos get handled again :D

                            Anyway your thoughts?

Believe it or not, the internets a big place. It's impossible to make sure the entire thing has swapped out images and all that shit. That billboard link you included is correct, by the way.

Some of my favorite miscues include giving us, the hardcores, exclusive video and pics. Shame on them.
