#17 is still over priced and the hood is too small. many it'll will fit better over there
Another one of those classic genius posts, sure to generate responses. You log on the next day to see what your witty gem has produced to find no one gets it and 2 knotheads want to stick their dicks in it... Well played, sir!!
What separated Dave from really just about every front man ever was his signature jumps, kicks, screams and sword play. Alot have tried to emulate him but all have failed! Just watch Metal Mania and you'll see all the copy cats!
Van Halen tunes have so much power that for some when they see VH it takes them back to when Dave was flying all over the stage and now that he's not able to do that it's a downer to them.
The Stones was mentioned, what did Mick do thats so spectacular? All he did was run around the stage poking his lips out. So seeing them now it's not a big deal. Same with Led Zep, aside from the vocals what did Robert Plant do that was so spectacular? Nothing but just stand there so once again when you see them live it's no big deal that he does that.
Now Dave what he did that was so spectacular was mentioned above, so when you see VH now it should hit you that Dave is not that 20 or 30yr old running and flying across the stage. Dave is 2yrs shy of 60 so you have to take it with a grain of salt he 30yrs older now so you wont be seeing the Dave of old.
I seriously doubt Van Halen would be capable of doing more than, say, four months on the road as representing a leg of a tour, and that would require a couple of months off after that was completed. Maybe three or (at most) four shows a week during that four month cycle.
They're just too old to go at it full-bore: when Roth was proposing in the beginning of 2012 that the band was gonna undertake a ferociously ambitious full-year + schedule, it sounded like a pipe dream when he said it and this proved to be correct.
