They closed their 07/08 tour with a outdoor show in Canada, which I believe was Toronto and I think early June. I remember checking out a pro shot soundboard of YRGM on the news desk at that time that was from a station in Canada.

To answer your question, their lead singer Doc Neeson continues to tour as a solo artist. Most recently, I saw him open for Motley Crue and Bret Michaels in 2011. The Angels themselves are also still touring, but with new lead singer Dave Gleeson, who was part of the band The Screaming Jets. I went to a KIX show when I was in Baltimore last December and I spoke to a guy there who was a huge Neeson/Angels fan. I didn't realise that people outside of Adelaide knew who they were.

Given the other Australian names on the Stone Festival bill: Noiseworks, Ian Moss, Icehouse, etc., I wouldn't be surprised to see Doc or The Angels added in a subsequent announcement.

Am I ever going to see your face again is a great live tune. The common crowd response of 'no way, get fucked, fuck off' is a bit cringeworthy, though:

Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be seeing Doc added to the bill: http://www.ariacharts.com.au/news/37...ed-with-cancer

You're referring to the Quebec show, which was a night show....

That really sucks :-( Must've missed the news because I was away in the US at the time. I didn't even realise he had reunited with The Angels for a reunion tour of sorts.

I hope Doc's okay, but it doesn't sound too promising.

Yeah, haven't seen you here in a while. We've got multiple threads going dissecting Dave's playful attacks on his band mates. Some say it's no big 'ting, some say take it easy Dave (my stance, sorta).

                      What are your thoughts?

Just found out that I will be re-issued with new tickets for the Stone Music Festival, sometime in the next 10 days - by post - which is cutting it a bit fine. Apparently, the ezytickets emailed to me as PDFs are no longer valid due to a reconfiguration of the event set-up. Hmmm...looks to me like sales are average or the organisation of this show is not the best.

I was contacted by the ticket agency two weeks ago to say that my tickets for standing at the front of the stage were to be converted to seats. It actually works out better for me, as I was given Row A seats (i.e. the front row) for both days of the Festival. It basically means I can arrive at about 9pm on the second day to see Billy Joel, rather than having to stand around from 2pm onwards to be in a decent spot.

G'day mate - yeah I got an email from Ticketek last Wednesday saying I will be re-issued tickets. I got them in the post today (thank God). I went for one day general admission standing (cheapest option) as I'm already spending a lot of money on this gig with flights, accommodation etc. We are staying near the venue and will probably head over to the stadium about 3-4pm. Never seen the Olympic Stadium so even that will be interesting. Enjoy the show - good to see young fans appreciatng the Mighty VH!

Can I assume all the Aussie soldiers of the Roth Army are going?
