OK, briefly touched on this in Main, because Kwame mentioned his ADAT system (at least I think he did...lol) and lately I've been looking for a relatively inexpensive way to put the ADAT I have collecting dust around here to use, as well as pull years of silly archive and riff catalog bits off of my library of ADAT tapes lying about...

...In some ways it kind of seems like an almost overkill addition to my system (not like I need Cubase, or Sonar), but in others, can't hurt, y'know? Plus there's cool material on these ADATs yet to see the light of day that it would be fun to drop into Pro Tools and clean up, add some Recabinetized tracks to...possibilities are endless.

And for $145, not counting the SPIDF cable to link it once installed? How can you go wrong?

I have like a dozen of those fucking unused Livewire spdif cables that will never get used from my GC mass-exchange this past spring!

I do NOT see the difference between specialty SPDIF cables, and RCA line audio cables. I imagine in a pinch, standard rca-rca stereo lines would work initially.

For the record, that was two tracks (1 doubled, the other tripled) of PODfarm presets with the Recabinet "Green 4x12" - a Marshall JCM800 preset, and a Soldano. for the Marshall I used the Recabinet Royer 121, and Shure SM57 mods. On the Soldano mod it was the 121, the 57, and an Audix D6 (kick drum, for chest-thump) modulations.
Love it. YMMV.
