Originally posted by Nickdfresh I'd quit too, if Eddie showed up drunk and at the crack of 4:00 PM to the recording studio after I'd been waiting around since morning to record.
But hey, that's '5150' TIME!
If the guitarist is drunk, the drummer is trying to accuse you of different outlandish shit every other band meeting and even threatening violence, and the bass player thinks he should even have an opinion while he badmouths you to everyone in the organization...and the whole time, YOU'RE the one on all the magazine covers...well then, fuck yeah. You should quit. I think Dave didn't have a choice but to quit.

I'm surprised Hagar let Metallica still do their crumbling statue shit. When the statue crumbles in that live video from '89, it's pretty incredible. That was the last great tour for that band. After '88-'89, Metallica lost their edge.
I just remember Lars Ulrich being a complete madman on drums. Strange I have no recollection of Alexis on drums. Maybe he was still a drunk then.
I think Kingdom Comes biggest/only hit was "Bring it On"? They were like Whitesnake lite.
So Nicky, I suppose any conservative is really just believing what "they" tell ihim to believe (whoever the fuck "they" are). Just admit it, anyone who doesn't agree with you, in your opinion, is an idiot/hypocrite, etc. In your little world, you pretty much HAVE to be liberal to be normal. Unless you're in the service, you're hypocritical if your values are conservative ones.
Guess what, I'm gonna break the news to you..."open-minded"=agreeing with liberal policies. Yup, that's what it means. Hey, you can believe whatever you want to believe. I think liberal values are fucked up but whatever, keep on believing that truths don't exist and everything is relative.
I love the LIBERAL use of the word "owned" these days too...quite original indeed. Boy did you come up with that slang on your own or did you get help on that from ebaumsworld?
LOOOOOOOOOO can't shut up. It's sexual frustration.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Funny story. Took my younger brother to see the show(PONTIAC SILVERDOME!). He didn't like Metallica. Missed Kingdom Clone on purpose. Metallica went on first. CRUSHED! MASS HYSTERIA!. Dokken. Scorps. Van Hagar. Spam butchers RWTD. We Leave Early Bro looks at me on the way out and says."WE SHOULD HAVE LEFT AFTER METALLICA! THE REST BLEW!!!"
"Van Halen was one of the most hallelujah, tailgate, backyard, BBQ, arrive four hours early to the gig just for the parking lot bands. And still to this day is. It's an attitude. I think it's a spirit more than anything else is."
Originally posted by Nickdfresh I don't know, Don Dokken looked catatonic (although he did sound good, just never moved) and George Lynch looked like he was about to kick him in the balls for it. I think they hated eachother by that point. But then again, I can't prove it but I believe Hagar and Eddie may have felt the same way by that OU8.2 time period.
If I remember correctly, DOn Dokken was plastered most of that tour (sound familliar???) and George Lynch DID want to kick his ass...LMAO I remember DD twirling the mic around bt the cord. He threw it up in the air (presumably to catch it...it was one of his trademarks), but it landed all the way accross the stage!! LMAO!!! Curious George just shook his head and continued to solo...hahahaha!!!!
...That was the 'end' of the first-run Dokken...George Lynch still has never found a nitch since...Still was a great show, though...
