Very little is ever deleted, what a bunch of shit dude and you fucking know it.. We delete posts where idiots are posting porn, threatening each other, and posting general nonsense (AKA Denny). And it rarely happens. Most of the time we close it. Considering many of the mods can't stand Sam-era VH, would be hard to delete every pro-Dave post. What a bunch of BS and you know it.

Originally posted by Terry See, I went on and registered at the links about 2 or 3 years ago, printed out a bunch of interviews then went on my way. Last time I can recall taking part in the Links Wars was when a bunch of us were on DDLR.COM during the period where this site was being worked on.
After reading a bunch of posts here about what a bunch of jackasses the linkers were, recently decided to check it out for myself. It's funny how the rules you mentioned don't apply to Eddie Grunts shitting all over anyone who posts anything pro-Roth. There are a few over there who stick up for Dave, and they get dumped on by everyone. Kind of to be expected, right?
Pretty much what I discerned (here's a revelation for ya) is that it's basically a pro-EVH bias that drives the place. The criticisms of Roth over there are essentially parroted quotes and downright plagiarized lines from EVH/AVH/Hagar interviews. Am fairly certain that if Roth were in the band today and EVH/AVH said they had made a mistake with Hagar all along, the linkers attitude would follow suit.
Me, I don't think everything Dave says is some kernel of wisdom and not everything he's released is to my liking. Overall, he gets high marks in my book. At his worst, he still never fails to entertain. Not everyone on this site agrees with that, and it's the very disparity of opinion here that makes the site interesting. At the links, the uniformity of opinion makes the place as bland as post-1985 Van Halen music, but the utter lack of backbone there is what really turns me off. That's why linkers fare so poorly when they get over here and start spreading their kool-aid - just a bunch of of wooly thinking with a safety-in-numbers mentality. No wonder they're called sheep.
Very well said, and very much in line with my personal observations and thoughts.
Originally posted by Brett ...I'd like to see any of you spend your own bread and start a board, and let's see how long it takes you to keep it going with 13,000 members for over 5 years.
Does my 12 year old commercial site with 58,000+ members count?
God forbid anyone have a difference of opinion and choose to try to have a civil discussion...
One would hope this was said in jest, but obviously not.
It's not a competition, I'm glad you have a successful site. You should know what a fucking pain in the ass it is then, certainly with that many members.
I'm totally civil on here when discussing VH, which is rare in itself because I simply don't care about the band much anymore. But I'm always able to see other's opinions. Plus, I think I take the mostly vicious comments pretty lightly.
You must have me confused with my many "fans" and the mass amounts of idiots who come here slamming Dave 24/7.
