Now and with that being said, my point being that they bill themselves as NOT "Van Halen" could or would you infact even consider or fathom going?
I'm not going to speak to the Links side of all this. I haven't been over there, or I'd put in my two cents.

As for this statement, I'll just say this. I would 100% go and see Eddie and David performing together. I would love to see a "Dave and Ed (sounds gay)" or better yet, "EVH and DLR."

It would be transcending to have JUST THE TWO of them perform. spED would put behind him the incestuousness of he and Al, and in doing so, would lend creedence that DLR was just as important as anyone else in the band. He would also seem humble in doing so.

IF Van Halen were reconstituted as Dave, Al, spED and Wolfgang, and they put out new music, I don't know. I would have to take into account all else that was going on surrounding the band, of which there would be much.

There was a moment about a month ago...driving to work...when "Hot for Teacher" came on the radio, and I was transformed back to 1984, and I thought, "Oh Fuck, I'm going to see this again."

It lasted about a week or so...then went away.

What would have to happen for me to go to a show?

I can foresee VH performing at the R&R Hall of Fame induction, me watching, and catching the fucking wind. THAT would depend on who was up there, and what was going on. You add Sammy to that equation, or subtract Michael from that equation, and you probably lose me.

    But...

if Van Halen gets up there WITH Michael, and shreds, and gets me rollin'...you never know what my stance would be then.

But right now...they can all kiss my ass...
"Van Halen was one of the most hallelujah, tailgate, backyard, BBQ, arrive four hours early to the gig just for the parking lot bands. And still to this day is. It's an attitude. I think it's a spirit more than anything else is."

Oh dear... Well, let's just say that I've raised somewhat of a ruckuss over there since this news broke. No need to go into it but I'm not too popular of a fella as of late and don't foresee myself venturing into that country anymore nor anytime soon.

As for this statement, I'll just say this. I would 100% go and see Eddie and David performing together. I would love to see a "Dave and Ed (sounds gay)" or better yet, "EVH and DLR."
No dude, that doesn't sound "gay" at all. Unfortunately, I don't think promoters nor record execs would view it as an economically viable title for said show. If I had it my way, I'd love to see DAVID LEE ROTH WITH EDWARD VAN HALEN!!! :D

OK, we're definitely both on EXACTLY the same page.

IF Van Halen were reconstituted as Dave, Al, spED and Wolfgang, and they put out new music, I don't know. I would have to take into account all else that was going on surrounding the band, of which there would be much.
        Agreed

Again, I get what you're saying but that's NOT what we'll EVER see nor witness again. Again, that's where I get into many an argument 'tis with cunts who'd take what you just said and would use the old cliche of "Another Rothtard still living in 1984" when both you and I know that's not to what you're even referring.

In a perfect world of our fallen musical heros, that's also exactly what I've been blabbing about for weeks now. Well, when I get net time cos I do have a lot of shit going on in day to day life. However and yeah, I'm all for Anthony taking his rightful place amongst that band. Unfortunately, I think he's got one of those common law and "musical" marriages to his "Other Half" i.e. Hagar. With that fact standing, I sincerely wonder if either of those two can even take a piss without coddling each other's chubby little wee wee's? That's another reason as to why I could care less about Anthony's involvement or feud with the sisters... That way, if he doesn't happen to show up to the RNRHOF induction ceremony, we will be spared both seeing and listening to his capri companion's delusional recollection of what he cuntributed to said band during his stenchure...

'Tis funny that you mentioned "gay" earlier in your post. Honestly, I've NEVER witnessed ANYTHING gayer than the musical love story and relationship that Michael Anthony and Sammy Hagar have traveled since they met. The "Other Half" for fuck's sakes? What is that?

        Jeezus...

I'm not paying $100 a ticket, or whatever, to see some dickhead kid named "wolfgang" who wasn't even alive at VHII.

If I wanted to see quasi-van halen, I'll just go see a DLR concert. Fuck.

I want Mike also, but I'll take DAve and Ed if I have to. Better than nothing. We haven't had product from Dave or VH in a LONG time.

                    Oooh well well...wella wella wella...

Why not tour with the original line-up...let Wolfgang sub for Mullet on bass for a few tunes like Mullet subs for Mona/Roseanne on The Other Helfers Tours...let Wolfgang play guitar during Edie's solo...play 316 or whatever...??

I respect Pojo's opinion...but Mullet has pissed me off so much since '85 that even though I'd miss his vocal...he almost deserves the snub...cut the mullet!!...

If Van Halen tours with Amadeus on bass...I'll be there...I'll pawn my guitar and ghetto blaster if Ize got to...

I'll go buy a new record if there is one, but I'm not going to a concert with this idiot kid. He probably wouldn't even be accepted into a tribute band if not for his last name.

It would be like going to see The Who now without Moon and Entwhistle.

What the fuck is the point? Just to buy the t-shirt?

You have to think the promoters are pushing for the full lineup.

Box set...full 1981 concert DVD, album and tour...????

It has to happen this time, right? They have to realize that induction to the R&R Hall of Fame (even though that is a dubious honor) comes this once since they will be inducted first time.

They can't let this opportunity pass them by, can they??
Did I miss something? I thought the only tunes that mike didn't play bass on were just the 3 new tunes with Hagar. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Before I always said I always liked Van Halen with David Lee Roth. Now I have to say I like Van Halen with David Lee Roth & Michael Anthony. It's just too much!
