I'm actually more inclined to go with the "Wolf Records/Mike Tours" speculation, personally...

    I can accept that...

    I can't accept a 15 year old who's played bass for 3 months...bah...call me, Ed, I'll do it...it'll save a little face for ya...

    Twistin' by the pool.

        Wolfgang?

Maybe he'll have a little common sense, unlike his dad, and politely decline.

            Interesting.

I'm hoping for more Sam and Mike bashing!

I don't think Dave took a very liking to Ed calling him a "bitch".

Maybe its Ed's new "Pornspeak". :D

Or Dave could've laughed it off.

Wolfgang has been playing guitar for a few years. He showed he was a decent guitarist on the last tour. I could play a shit ton of VH on guitar at 15, including the solos. I'm certain I could have played Mike's parts on bass at 15. Again......... Mike out, Dave in........ No problem.

                    This now from Blabbermouth...

Eddie Van Halen spoke to Guitar World magazine about the current status of VAN HALEN following the departures of vocalist Sammy Hagar and bassist Michael Anthony.

Rumors continue to swirl that original singer David Lee Roth, who was replaced by Hagar in the mid-1980s, will return to the fold, despite years of enmity. Roth, who has recently worked as a radio DJ and a paramedic, told Billboard.com in May that he saw it "absolutely as an inevitability."

"I'm telling Dave, 'Dude, get your ass up here and sing, bitch! Come on!'" Eddie told Guitar World. "As it stands right now, the ball is in Dave's court. Whether he wants to rise to the ocassion is entirely up to him, but we're ready to go."

Eddie has brought his 15-year-old son, Wolfgang, into VAN HALEN as the veteran rock band's new bass player. Father and son, along with Eddie's drummer brother Alex, have been rehearsing for a 2007 tour.

"Wolfgang breathes new life into what we're doing," said Eddie. "He brings youthfulness to something that's inherently youthful. He's only been playing bass for three months, but it's spooky. He's locked tight and puts an incredible spin on our shit. The kid is kicking my ass! He's spanking me now, even though I never spanked him. To have my son follow in my footsteps on his own, without me pushing him into it, is the greatest feeling in the world."

This leads me to believe that they have NOT rehearsed together yet.

EDDIE VAN HALEN: The Ball Is In DAVE LEE ROTH's Court - Dec. 11, 2006

                          Sorry, but it ain't CVH.

If EVH can bury his differences with DLR, surely he can with MA.

Or is he so much of a control freak that he can't just give everyone

                          what they want?

I read about him playing with the Punks and enjoying jamming the old Roth tunes that he had not played in years. Talking about how much he enjoyed it. Never read about him jamming with a Van Hager cover band. Besides Dave I never heard about the other members playing the older material. He even had Sammy playing RWTD on the Other Half show. So to say he just likes the Van Hagar stuff is simply stupid.

Now, we have to take into account as to WHEN that Eddie quote was taken.

If it was October, then yeah, Dave wasn't anywhere near 5150 yet. He was still on tour.

His last show, if I remember, was Nov. 7th.

Maybe this will produce better results than the Van Hagar 04 tour.
