Ed does the same thing he has always done without Dave - cherry pick all the same stuff he feels most comfortable playing. He hasn't been doing anything that can challenge him or show his lack of discipline in decades... what a total douche...

I did catch that remark about how he was now with a company that finally got it right, and I had the same reaction...the dude has worked with Kramer, Ernie Ball, Peavey, Charvel, MXR...and not a lick of gratitude for any of them after he's done with them.

Ed definately sounds a hellauva lot better without all that harmonizer crap cluttering his sound.The man was definately nervous,probably because he was playing for other muscians who were expecting him to be hot as shit.It will take a tour with Dave playing the classics to bring him back to the point where he can do it without effort or concern for who's liestoning.Thats classic Eddie and Classic Van Hlen for that matter.

This was the perfect example of why he needs Dave-keep your mouth shut and your hands on the fretboard.Communicate using your guitar and let Dave do the talking-that's what works.
