Did you read that Jeff Bridges is going to assume the Duke's role in the coming remake of True Grit? As little as ten years ago I would have doubted the guy, but not any more. He seems to be the inspired choice. I hope the Coen Brothers lean more toward No Country For Old Men and less toward Raising Arizona, though.

Me too and while I look at remaking anything The Duke was in as sacrilegious, he does seem like an inspired choice. Great actor and he could actually bring depth to the role. He has his western bona fide, IMO.
