I think it is more paranoia on the part of the VH brothers. I think they know that if they don't officially anounce anything, they have the option to pull the plug on it at anytime. But isn't that the Van Halen Bermuda Triangle that we have been lost in for ages? I reason the above because i fear if any old hostilities prevailed, they would just shelf it and call it a day even if they had 3/4 of the record finished. I reason that by not announcing anything they have a safety net and that by actually announcing it they would be committed to it regardless. However, that isn't true either because we know in 1996 they went from full on with Dave to nothing in an instant regardless of what the fans wanted. My point is that even if it becomes official will it ever really be official until you can see it, touch it and hear it?RIDE TO LIVE, LIVE TO RIDE

I thought Roth was great and from that they are moving to this. I’m as big a Van Halen fan as anyone else and I’d love to hear new material from them and knowing Eddie – he doesn’t want to live off his catalogue.
