Vh name goes a long way

Many of the ADKOT songs could have been on a Roth solo cd and would barely see the light of day. Songs like Trouble With Never, As Is, China Town.... Yet with the Van Halen brand- and that alone - g these songs have a chance to see lots of daylight.


My point here is that Dave is a very talented songwriter and creator. but the general public basically discarded him without VH Many songs from DLR Band, YFLM and ALAE could have possibly been hits if recorded with VH.


Dave is under credited by many. I hope ADKOT shows the world how great Dave still is. He truly is a maestro!

We have a 50 minute album , 4 sides. Last Foo Fighters album on vinyl was 45 RPM.

Folks are complaining about the 50 dollar price but guys it this thing sounds as amazing as I'm guessing from what I learned it might be worth it !

I think the point is that DAVE has been writing great songs his entire career....and that the general public isn't aware of that............

I agree that the VAN HALEN brand name will get him much more attention than a release of his own.............his covers CD & that Bluegrass CD really didn't help his cause....though I thought both had some great moments...................

I think that the "general public" will take notice of ADKOT due to the mass appeal of 1984.........people know that DAVID LEE ROTH + EDDIE VAN HALEN + ALEX VAN HALEN= STELLAR MUSIC...............

Although what you say is true, you still need great riffs and solos from guys like EVH and Steve Vai. EEAS & Skyscraper would not have been as big without someone like Steve Vai.

He did some great stuff with Dave. Damn Good is one of the best songs they ever did together, not anyone can come up with what Steve Vai did. As for EVH, I don't need to comment on what him and Dave did, my point is as good as Dave is with lyrics and melodies, you still need a great guitarist.

There is a big difference between excellent guitar players and great guitar players.
