Dave is 58 now, so a woman half his age would be 29. Perfectly legal.

In the first incarnation of Van HALEN, Dave was in his 20's, which obviously makes it problematic to be with a girl significantly younger. And at that point, half his age would have been considered eligibility for the Catholic priesthood.

That makes sense, but technically it's been legal for over 20 years. LOL

Any girl that stays longer than hotel check out time I would imagine is commitment for Dave. From his own words he has only actually dated a handful of women.
