The DJ related a story about wearing a Cabo Wabo t-shirt to a Van Halen concert this tour, and he was apparently asked by someone in the VH camp to remove it, "to keep world peace." Sammy said, "If I had know that, you would've still been wearing that beautiful red t-shirt, and someone would've had a black eye."

I heard the same thing on a "Rock Daily" report on WAQX 95x here in Syracuse a while back. I posted much of the same that was reported here. Sammy said back then(july) that he was happy to do this tour, nothing beyond this tour, that the wabos were his "soulmates" and that musically, that was where he wanted his future to be. The VH tour was just for fun, they needed to do it etc. I believe they are DONE! We have been hearing it for months. The doubt is obvious, considering past history in the VH camp. I think Dave doing some dates now on his own is also a good sign of things to come.(warm-up for VH in 2005)
Dave has said NOTHING which we know is uncharacteristc of him. I'm hopeful!Comment

Great news that things are coming to a close, but i still hold firm that Dave doesn't need this shit.
Edward is barely half the player he used to be, he has a lifetime of practice being a Guitar God to the peep's, yet his performance dictates that he has lost it.
To me that is not a recipe that makes a Van/Roth reunion worth the paper a contract would be printed on.
As i have said before, I hope Dave avoids them like the plague.
The last thing we need is Dave being involved with what Ed has been pulling off this whole tour, which ain't shit.
It doesn't matter if it's true or not to this fan, I'm against a reunion because the time has come and gone.
And after being cast as second rate (meaning Spam was back before Dave) It would be below Dave to return.
Too much water not only passed under the bridge, the bridge itself got washed away.
Dave would be better off leaving things to memory because even though some fans would be stoked, Dave would never have Ed's respect and at this point would do little more than hinder any creative process that remotely resembles the Van Halen we all know and love.
