Well, as remote as the possibility is, I just love thinking about the possibilities.... At this point, after all we've been through, who gives a shit about the rumor mill.... If it doesn't happen, oh well, if it does, let's rock....
The writing may very well be on the wall this time for the Van Heiniken brothers.....
Consider this;
- For those scrutinizing Ed's playing this tour (and rightly so I might add), you must realize that under a DLR-led regime, there is ABSOLUTELY no way that he would allow Ed to noodle his way preparing for a tour.... The DLR/VH tours are proof of that, as Henry Rollins, "a stellar production, a '10' ".... It's my contention that with the Velveeta Beach Bum, he had absolutely no motivation, that is obvious both in those 3 lame-ass songs and the tour....
- No matter how you want to spin it, the lousy attendance on the tour, including the incredible situation that they couldn't sell out the L.A. Staples Center, i.e. the motherland, should provide them the ultimate wake-up call.... A reunited DLR/VH will provide the windfall that will easily pay off all of the alimony they want....
- During the shows, review after review after review consistently state that the most popular songs of the night were easily the DLR-era tunes.... They don't stand up there onstage and not hear that, they fucking know it....
- Before and during the tour this year, the band did hardly ANY interviews... That's just un-fucking-heard of.....Back on the Roth-influenced aspect of any reunion, he would make damn sure that publicity would be EVERYWHERE, including newspapers, TV, radio, Internet, you name it.... There wouldn't be a music fan around that didn't know that the Mighty Van Halen was back.....
- Ed has stated before (and turned out to be lying) that he would never go out on a "nostalgia tour".... Well, that's just what he's finishing up now..... And I think even he finally may be realizing that his bread is going to be buttered the best when he puts his tremendous ego aside and makes that call to Dave......Eat Us And Smile - The Originals

The DJ related a story about wearing a Cabo Wabo t-shirt to a Van Halen concert this tour, and he was apparently asked by someone in the VH camp to remove it, "to keep world peace." Sammy said, "If I had know that, you would've still been wearing that beautiful red t-shirt, and someone would've had a black eye."

Child star and supposed Van Halen guitarist (at least by one fan) Jerry Mathers was caught posting pro-Sammy Hagar (otherwise known as "The Ched") material on the Rotharmy. He was later taken into custody by Max and Rikk of the rotharmy and placed in the "sheep pen". He was quoted as saying "Thammy rules, he's awesome and I loved playing in his band."
