Here's an update for you:

Last year State Police estimated that between 600,000 and 700,000 people attended this live event. The media reported another 29.2 million television viewers.

In one felt swoop, Diamond Dave performs before more people than what this entire 4 month Van Halen Tour will do, without regard to TV viewership. Dave always wins and in his own way!

I agree totally, but what was said above implied that all of those people would be there or would tune in for DLR. As big a fan of his that I am, that is simply not true. As for Mikey, how is it that he gets fucked so hard by the vh brothers. I thought all songwriting credits was given to all four members equally.

As stated many times in my posts, I have 3 sets of comped stage-front tickets/passes for this Van ReHash Tour. FYI, I will be at the first nights Los Angeles VH concert also. It’s part of my job asswipe!

My bio on this site has stated the following since the day I rejoined Roth Army:

35 years in the biz & the tinnitus to prove it! Attended VH/Solo shows since 1977: VH-I (3)/VH-2 (2)/VH-3 (0)/SH (1)/ DLR (1)/SH-DLR (1)/VH 04 (0?)-have 3 pairs of stage-front/backstage comped tixs)

As you can see EVH FUCKATIC, aka EVH FANATIC with your 3,562 VHLinks asswipe posts, I have attended Van Hagar concerts, and Sammy Hagar solo concerts. Of the music industry professionals on this Forum, I would submit that I am probably the most objective and unbiased here!

I’m not going to tell people to not go see this VH show. Let’s look at the facts:

(1) For people that have to pay, you can get fantastic upfront floor or side stage tickets for $5 to $40 in the secondary market for basically any show you want;

(2) It makes a cheap reason to get out, have a few beers or whatever your pleasure, meet people, and see Van Spinal Tap II, what the hell, not may hard-rock shows left anymore;

(3) Eddie will never Nationally Tour again, so this is your last chance if you want to see the drunken/drugging hack, that use to be one of the world’s great guitarists. On this point, despite my comment on Eddie, 10 – 20% of the time during most shows, that drunken/drugging hack can still blow the roof off the place, and besides his booze-meth induced stage antics are DAMN funny and worth the $20 for a upfront ticket alone!

(4) And finally, the most important point, for diehard rockers in my age bracket, there is a huge number of very hot rock chicks that will do ANYTHING, if you will take them to see this VH show. They don’t give a damn about all this musician stuff, or who is fronting Van Halen (although most perfer Diamond Dave), they just want to get out and have a good time. VH sucks so bad, these hot chicks will probably just get even more loaded and be even more nasty after the show!, FLOL. Don’t know about you bros, but I will endure a lot of suffering to get number 4 on this list. I’m the first to admit I’m a total whore for fine p-tang!!!!!

So anyway, bottom-line is, I am going to continue to post the same honest information here without regarding to who is fronting this band. END OF DISCUSSION.

Van Halen and back-again lead singer Sammy Hagar are selling thousands of tickets for their summer tour, and that means big-time cash for… former lead singer David Lee Roth? That's right, because as "CJ" reveals, top musicians don't have to play onstage to get well paid. It's all about doing the rights thing, and as the summer concert season heats up, so are the rights fights.

As entertainment attorney Barry Littman explains, Roth gets paid even though he's not touring with Van Halen because, legally, he is a composer of all of Van Halen's early original work.

"If you have an immensely successful concert that's focused on David Lee Roth-Van Halen tunes, he's going to see more money than if Van Halen never went on tour," Littman notes. "The composers of the song are listed and each of them will have the right to get paid for anybody else performing their song live."

Great post bro that needed to be stated here again. Yeah Dave makes money when the Van ReHash Tour performs VH - I era songs and CCC/CCE/WMG uses VH - I era material in their promos which is A LOT!, and from the new WMG CD set release, which will not sell squat unit volume.

That is why fucksticks Eddie, Alex and Sammy didn't want to do them, just to hose Dave... never mind they sound like shit trying to do VH - I era material.

The Tour financial numbers are sucking so bad, that the Van ReHash boys had to try and do Dave VH - I material at CCC/CCE & WMG's direct demanded insistence!

Diamond doesn’t make a lot off these royalties, (not going to quote numbers on this public site) but he makes enough to pay his attorney’s to sue the hell out of the Van Halen sisters again, over them screwing him on royalty interests, payments, and fraudulent misrepresentations and conveyance.

Eddie and Alex were broke, so no reason for Diamond to continue the last legal battle with the upcoming Van ReHash Tour. Diamond is just waiting for the Sisters to get some payola again from this Tour, and then some legal cannons are going to get unloaded on those clowns arse!

Im not a huge fan of hagar but I would have seen them cept. for the stupid ticket prices
love eddies playing but I think he's a self centered asshole
I think this tour will be the self destruction of him
